to the advent of better sites run by young/energetic fans! This is now just an
informational/"how to join" page for the first ever and longest running email
discussion list for Patty Griffin, Mad-Mission.

Time Does The Talking, a new Patty Griffin website, is launched at www.pattygriffin.net. Knowing the web page owners' dedication to their projects, I feel this web site will perhaps be the best one-stop resource for fans of Patty Griffin for some time to come. By all means check it out!

How To Subscribe to Mad Mission
To subscribe, send an email to mad-mission-request@smoe.org and have only the word subscribe in the BODY of the email. Do NOT send a sig file if you have one. If you HAVE to, then please type the word end on a line below the word subscribe, and then send that. It does not matter what you have in the SUBJECT of your email. Shortly thereafter, you will receive an email from confirm@smoe.org, which will contain a key/code that you have to send/email BACK to confirm@smoe.org. This code appears in both the body and the subject of the email you will receive. All you have to do is send this key/code back to confirm@smoe.org in either the body and/or the subject of the email you will be sending and you are in. You will then receive an email entitled "Welcome To Mad-Mission" which will tell you what to do to partake in this mailing list plus some other pertinent information that the list manager wishes to convey to you.
There is also a digest version. The only thing different about the subscription procedure is that the address to send the subscription request is mad-mission-digest-request@smoe.org
There's a news-only version of the list too. Much less email, no chatter/discussion, just news about Patty. To subscribe, do the same thing you do above, except the address to email the initial request to is mad-mission-news-request@smoe.org
