Chenango Forks scored three touchdowns in the second quarter to top visiting Dryden, 31-6, in the teams' Division IV opener Saturday afternoon.

The Blue Devils recovered a Dryden fumble on the Lions' 15-yard line early in the second quarter. Matt Juriga capped the two-play drive with a 2-yard run, giving Chenango Forks a 7-0 lead.

Steve Tronovitch had a 3-yard run and Jamie Hoover, who rushed for 97 yards on 13 carries, scored from 5 yards out to give the Blue Devils a 19-0 halftime lead. Both drives started inside Dryden territory.

Nose guard Kelsey Jenks led Forks on the defensive side, tallying 18 tackles and three sacks.
